Leigh Simons

Since his creation of LS productions in 1987, Leigh Simons has worked steadily as a business owner,  an entrepreneur, acclaimed writer, director, and producer across the spectrum of all aspects of the entertainment industry.

Leigh’s career began in internal communications with fortune 100 and fortune 1000 companies where he developed and executed stratetegic internal television, marketing, sales and motivational programs.  At the time the company also specialized in producing large annual events for 500 to 1000 employees at exotic locations around the world.

In 1992 Leigh was hired as the stage manager for BMG a position he held for over decade.

Motion Pictures

Leigh began his motion picture career with Screen media films as ‘Executive in charge of production’ where he was involved in the production of feature length films, the world wide marketing and distribution of these films and the actual creation of original programming. While producing a series for the Discovery network in 1995 Leigh met Olympic Gold medalist and boxing sensation Oscar De La Hoya and shortly thereafter, signed on to produce the documentary on his life and agreed to become the creative director for Golden Boy promotions the most successful boxing promotional company in boxing history.

Over the past seven years, Leigh has produced over 30 half hour sports documentaries, advertising and marketing campaigns for HBO sporting events,  featuring the greatest boxers of this generation.

Currently In Production

Leigh is currently in production on a film with NBA Entertainment on the life of Infamous NY Knick John Starks,, has recently announced at the Cannes film festival with super Model Petra Nemcova the collaboration on a documentary called ‘Love Evolution’ and has a reality series in development with legendary boxer Bernard Hopkins who just set the record for the oldest fighter to ever win a world title in the history of Boxing, supplanting George Forman.

The television direct marketing business has been a long time part of LS productions with Leigh’s most notable success to date the legendary “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus’ campaign.

Leigh is currently in production with legendary trainer Mackie Shilstone and Serena Williams on a new project to be released in the fall.
